Meet The Team: Andrea Miras Ramos

This week, we’re spotlighting Andrea Miras Ramos, who plays a pivotal role as our Talent, People & Culture Manager. Andrea is passionate about fostering a supportive and engaged workplace, ensuring that our culture reflects our core values.

Let’s dive into Andrea’s journey at Alkimii! 

 

Alkimii was founded with a vision to bridge the technological gap in the hospitality industry—what drew you to Alkimii, and what excites you most about being part of that mission? 

Andrea: What truly attracted me to Alkimii was its bold vision to modernise an industry that had long been underserved by technology. The idea of integrating intuitive, elegant digital solutions into the hospitality sector was both innovative and inspiring. Every day, I get excited knowing that I’m part of a team that empowers business owners and their teams to work more efficiently and deliver superior guest experiences. 

 

Alkimii’s motto is ‘Kind service is our kind of service.’ How does this philosophy play a role in your day-to-day work, and why do you think it’s so important in hospitality? 

Andrea: In my daily work, this means treating every interaction—whether with colleagues, partners, or potential candidates—with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to help. In the hospitality sector, service rooted in kindness can transform a routine stay into a memorable experience. It fosters trust, builds long-lasting relationships, and ultimately contributes to a more positive brand image. 

This emphasis on kind service is reflected in our results. Our latest eNPS survey stands at 82%, customer satisfaction survey at 98%, and implementation satisfaction survey at 99%—figures we could not have achieved without a culture of kindness and service excellence. 

 

With Alkimii’s focus on customer satisfaction and creating a simple, beautiful platform for hotel managers and their teams, how do you think we’re making a real impact on the hospitality industry? 

Andrea: Alkimii is making a tangible impact by streamlining operations and reducing complexity for teams within the hospitality industry. Our platform is designed to be both user-friendly and visually appealing, which means hotel managers can focus more on enhancing the guest experience rather than being bogged down by cumbersome systems. 

This simplification leads to higher efficiency, improved communication, and ultimately, a better service experience for guests. By elevating customer satisfaction through digital innovation, Alkimii is not just keeping pace with industry trends but actively setting new benchmarks in hospitality. 

 

What’s one thing that makes Alkimii’s work culture special? 

Andrea: The sense of genuine community and shared purpose. At Alkimii, we are deeply invested in our values, and they shine through in every interaction. There’s collaboration, transparency, gratitude, and humility. This supportive culture encourages every team member to share ideas, take risks, and grow both personally and professionally. 

 

How do you ensure our team stays motivated and connected, even in a remote or hybrid environment? 

Andrea: Maintaining motivation and connectivity in a remote or hybrid setting requires intentional and proactive efforts. At Alkimii, we implement regular virtual check-ins, team-building sessions, and use collaborative tools that facilitate seamless communication. We also celebrate successes—both big and small—and foster an open feedback culture, ensuring that everyone feels recognised and connected despite the physical distance. This approach not only keeps our team engaged but also reinforces our collective commitment to our mission. 

 

I’m sure reflecting on these questions made you think about your journey at Alkimii. What’s one question you wish we had asked? 

Andrea: The question I wish we had asked is: How has this opportunity at Alkimii impacted your career? 

Answer: Working at Alkimii has been transformative for my career. Over the past three years, I have learned an immense amount about our product, organisational culture, and the hospitality industry. This experience has allowed me to develop skills and knowledge that have significantly enriched my professional journey. 

Every challenge overcome and every step we take to offer better conditions, benefits, and a more fulfilling work experience has left a positive mark on my career. It has reinforced my passion for people management and how it can shape an organisation’s success. 

 

Outside of work, what’s something you're passionate about or a hobby that brings you joy? 

Andrea: Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with my puppy—he brings a lot of energy and joy to my days! I'm also passionate about quality time with family and friends, whether that’s a quiet coffee or a weekend getaway. I love reading and anything that allows me to be creative and work with my hands, painting, and exploring other artsy or DIY activities. They really help me recharge and stay inspired!
